Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu warned the terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza that the Jewish State has reached an agreement with the US on issues related to Gaza, according to his address to the nation.

According to Netanyahu, the Israeli government is currently working together with the US to return both the living and the dead who were abducted and are still held by terrorists, in exchange for a temporary ceasefire with Hamas lasting 60 days.

"At the beginning of this truce, the negotiation process for a permanent end to the war will begin. To achieve this, our minimum conditions must be met: Hamas must be left with no military or governing capabilities. These are our basic conditions," he emphasized.

The head of the Israeli government added that if this can be achieved, "that will be good." Otherwise, the IDF will use force.

"If this is not achieved within 60 days, we will achieve it by other means, using the force of our army. We said the same regarding Iran and the elimination of the nuclear threat. If this can be achieved during the 60-day negotiations between the US and Iran, that would be beneficial. If not, it will be achieved another way," he stressed.

Gaza truce

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that Israel had agreed to the necessary terms for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. Later, Reuters, citing a statement by Hamas, reported that the group had responded positively to the proposal.

However, the terrorists put forward their conditions, which were criticized by the Israeli side.

"The changes that Hamas is trying to make to the Qatari proposal were passed to us last night, and they are unacceptable to Israel," Netanyahu’s office said.

More on the three key changes proposed by Hamas can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.

At the same time, Netanyahu stated that Israel has a chance to expand peace agreements. However, he rejected any deal in which Hamas would remain in Gaza.
