Strikes on Russia are better discussed privately - Ministry of Defense of Germany
Discussions about allowing Ukraine to strike the territory of the Russian Federation should remain confidential, states German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
Pistorius emphasized that for military tactics and strategy, it should be understood that it is not advisable to publicly discuss what is possible and what is allowed.
"International law allows all this. What is then precisely regulated between states, as the chancellor said yesterday, is regulated between states," the German minister added.
Pistorius said he would prefer to keep this discussion out of the public eye.
"I do not believe that the Kremlin will tell us what it is prepared to do, where and which weapons will be used," the minister said.
It is worth noting that this month, Western partners are actively discussing the issue of Ukraine's use of Western weapons to strike Russian military targets on Russian territory.
Previously, EU countries did not support the idea of such strikes, fearing an escalation of the conflict. However, the rhetoric is gradually changing.
In its report, RBC-Ukraine has already informed which countries have expressed support for Ukraine's strikes on Russian territory with their weapons.
