Strike on Ukraine's Ivano-Frankivsk: Russia attacks maternity hospitals, fatalities reported

Today, on March 24, Russia attacked the center of Ivano-Frankivsk with drones. The strike damaged two maternity hospitals, according to Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration head Svitlana Onyshchuk and Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv.
According to Onyshchuk, the Russian strike on the city center killed two people, and four others were injured. Among the injured is a six-year-old child. All the wounded are receiving the necessary medical care.
Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv added that one of the deceased was a National Guard serviceman, whose wife had given birth just a few days ago.
"The buildings of the city and regional maternity hospitals, as well as about 10 residential buildings, were damaged," the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
Onyshchuk emphasized that all relevant services are working at the scene.
The official urged residents of the region not to ignore air raid alerts and to stay in shelters or other safe places until the all-clear is given.
Attack on western Ukraine
Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine since the night of March 24. During the day, the enemy launched a large number of strike drones at peaceful Ukrainian cities.
In addition to Kyiv, Russian targets included cities in western Ukraine.
In particular, Lviv experienced two drone hits on residential buildings, one of them right in the city center.
As of now, it is known that 13 residents of Lviv were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Explosions were also reported in Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia.
