Kyiv under fire
On the night of June 17, Russian forces struck Kyiv using drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles.
In the Solomianskyi district, several multi-story residential buildings were damaged. One of them was directly hit by a ballistic missile, which effectively pierced through all the floors, from the ninth to the first.
As a result, 23 people were killed in that building alone. The search and rescue operation lasted more than 39 hours.
Over 400 State Emergency Service (SES) rescuers and more than 200 units of equipment were involved in the clean-up operation.
