Tonight, Russian occupiers once again carried out air strikes on Ukraine using kamikaze drones and missiles. Ukrainian air defense forces operated in ten regions, successfully shooting down many enemy targets, but there were also hits in several areas, with one casualty reported.

The story includes reports from the Telegram channels of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (RMA) Serhii Lysak, the Chief of the Vinnytsia RMA Serhii Borzov, and the Head of the Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko.

As military officials explained this morning, Russian forces launched a total of 4 S-300 missiles and 39 Shahed drones at Ukraine overnight.

Enemy drones were shot down in the territories of the Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Odesa, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr regions.

Odesa region

According to the data from the Southern Ukraine Defense Forces, in the Odesa region, a building was damaged, and a fire broke out at an industrial facility as a result of a strike by one of the Shaheds. The emergency was promptly extinguished by the State Emergency Service workers.

It is noted that overnight, the occupiers directed attack drones through residential quarters and industrial areas of settlements, complicating the work of air defense forces, which operated intensively for over 4.5 hours.

Mykolaiv region

In the operational command of the Southern forces, it was also reported that there was a strike on the open territory of the Mykolaiv region, where an enemy drone kamikaze damaged a power transmission line (PTL).

Military officials added that restoration work is underway at the site.

Ivan Kuhta, the head of the Snihurivka Municipal Military Administration, in his Telegram channel, reported that in the region, power lines were damaged in the Pavlivka village. The official warned that this could result in power outages in nearby villages.

Dnipropetrovsk region

As reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Lysak, in the morning, due to a Russian missile strike on the Novomoskovsk district of Dnipropetrovsk region, which was carried out yesterday evening, there was a hit on an agricultural enterprise. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished.

Officials reported that there was one casualty - a 58-year-old man, who received necessary medical assistance and is now recovering at home.

The official also added that late on Saturday night, two enemy drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces in the Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts.

"They hit Nikopol. They attacked with a drone kamikaze and artillery. They targeted Nikopol and the Manganese community. A sports facility in the district center was damaged, causing a fire, but no one was injured," Lysak said.

It is worth noting that a total of 20 Shaheds were shot down by the forces and means of the Air Defense in the Operational Command South: 11 in the Odesa region, 6 in the Mykolaiv region, 2 in the Kherson region, and another 1 in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Vinnytsia region

As informed by the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhii Borzov, last night in the Vinnytsia region, fragments from the air defense operation damaged an infrastructure object, resulting in a fire.

The official clarified that as of 06:30, the fire had been extinguished.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, emphasized the head of the RMA.

Kyiv region

According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, last night, due to enemy drone attacks, the alarm was raised twice in the region and lasted for over three hours.

"We thank our air defense forces. No hits on residential or critical infrastructure objects were recorded. There were no casualties," his message on Telegram reads.

The official noted that in one of the settlements in the region, windows on the 2nd floor of a private house were damaged by a blast wave.

"Operational services continue to work on documenting the consequences of the enemy's nighttime attack," he added.

Earlier, it was reported that on the evening of March 9, air raid alerts were issued in several regions of Ukraine due to the detection of launches by Russian aggressors of kamikaze drones.

Later, it became known about the air defense operation in Odesa, where explosions were also heard. It was also reported about sounds of explosions in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region. As the head of the Snihurivka Military Administration Ivan Kuhta explained, power lines were damaged in the Pavlivka village.

As reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the occupiers continued to launch new groups of Shahed drones into Ukraine.

It was almost five in the morning when explosions were reported in Khmelnytskyi region during the air raid alert.

As later informed by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Mykola Oleshchuk, the Ukrainian military shot down 35 out of 39 Shahed drones that night.
