Strengthening Ukraine's air defense and EU summit. Kuleba talks with Borrell
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held a telephone conversation with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In particular, they agreed to work on strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
The conversation between Kuleba and Borrell took place while Kuleba was in a bomb shelter.
Kuleba thanked Borrell for the political and personal support in 2023. In addition, two main defense priorities for the next year were discussed - accelerating the supply of artillery ammunition and removing all obstacles to the expansion of the capacity of the European defense industry.
"The head of European diplomacy assured that the EU is taking measures to expedite the delivery of the promised quantity of artillery shells and to facilitate the rapid development of the defense industry," the statement said.
