During the NATO summit, a decision was made to replace the Ukraine-NATO Commission with a new Ukraine-NATO Council. The council will be responsible for addressing crisis-related issues, according to a statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Vilnius.

"I will chair the Council, so no individual will be able to block it. We can have crisis consultations, and if Zelenskyy wants to join, no one will block him," Stoltenberg said.

He added that this move is one of the steps to bring Ukraine closer to NATO membership.

"We will be equals and make decisions through crisis consultations, which can be convened by any council member," he said.
