Stephen King supports Ukrainians and comments on war: 'Russians are getting their shit handed to them'
Famous American writer Stephen King, known for his strong support of Ukrainians during the full-scale war with Russia, has made a new statement. Specifically, he commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region, according to King's post on the social network X.

In his post, the 76-year-old writer expressed his views on the Ukrainian military operation in Russian territories. On Sunday, September 1, he made a statement about the Ukrainian defense forces' offensive, which began in August.
"The Russians are getting their shit handed to them, and they deserve it. After all, they started it," the writer noted.

In March of that year, King announced that he would not renew contracts to publish his books in the aggressor country. Later that same year, the star commented on the explosion on the Crimean Bridge, which the Russians called an act of terrorism. He called such reactions from Russian citizens "idiocy."
Moreover, the celebrity has made numerous passionate statements in support of Ukraine and has not hesitated to criticize Russians in his posts.
In 2016, along with other American writers, King signed a petition against Donald Trump as the most likely candidate for the US presidency. In 2018, he was among those who called for the release of director Oleg Sentsov, who now serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, from captivity.
