Start date for new Polish government
The new Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will take office on the morning of December 13, according to the head of the Polish President's Office Grazyna Ignaczak-Bandych on the social network X.
Polish President Andrzej Duda will officially swear in the new government headed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk on December 13 at 9 am.
"At the invitation of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, after the vote in the Sejm, a meeting was held with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. It was decided that after receiving the vote of confidence, the new government will be sworn in on Wednesday, December 13, at 9:00 a.m. in the Presidential Palace," wrote the head of the Polish President's Office.

Tusk's election as prime minister
On December 11, the Polish Sejm rejected a vote of confidence in the proposed government of Mateusz Morawiecki.
On the evening of December 11, the Polish Sejm approved the candidacy of Donald Tusk for the post of prime minister. In favor of Tusk's election as prime minister, 248 deputies voted for him, 201 voted against, and no one abstained.
