On January 20, the inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States will take place. It is already known which stars will perform both at the inauguration itself and at events surrounding the occasion. ABC News reports on who will sing for Trump.

Which stars will perform at the oath-taking ceremony
On Monday, when Trump takes the oath of office, country singer Carrie Underwood will perform "America the Beautiful" and opera tenor Christopher Macchio will sing the U.S. national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Also, country musician Lee Greenwood, known for writing "God Bless the U.S.A." and "Time on Her Hands," will perform at the ceremony.

On Sunday, the day before Trump's inauguration, a "Make America Great Again" rally will take place, echoing the slogan he used during his 2016 campaign. The following performers will take the stage:

  • Kid Rock
  • The Village People, known for their hit "YMCA," which Trump is known to enjoy dancing to
  • Billy Ray Cyrus
  • Lee Greenwood
  • Liberty University's Praise choir

By the way, former Village People member Victor Willis stated that the band's performance at the pre-inauguration events is not an endorsement of Trump's policies.

Several events are scheduled for the evening of Monday, January 20, following Trump's inauguration:

  • The Liberty Ball, where Jason Aldean, known for his song "Dirt Road Anthem," will perform. An artist, whose identity remains a secret, is also expected to make an appearance.

  • The Commander-in-Chief Ball – at this event, the band Rascal Flatts and artist Parker McCollum will perform.

  • The Starlight Ball – this event, also scheduled for Monday evening, will feature Gavin DeGraw, known for hits like "Chariot" and "I Don't Want to Be."

Trump inauguration – what we know

As it has been confirmed, the ceremony will take place indoors for the first time since 1985. Initially, only insiders mentioned this, but Trump later confirmed that he ordered the inauguration to be held at the Capitol Rotunda.

On January 19, Trump arrived in Washington. He plans to take part in the wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. After that, a rally will take place at the Capital One Arena.
