The newly elected US President Donald Trump has announced his own cryptocurrency - $TRUMP. It has already caused a stir among crypto enthusiasts, DexScreener reports.
Just a few days before his inauguration for a second term, Trump introduced an official memecoin based on the Solana blockchain.
"My NEW official Trump meme is HERE! It's time to celebrate everything we stand for: VICTORY! Join my special Trump Community. GET YOUR $TRUMP NOW. Have fun!" Trump said.

The $TRUMP memecoin has rapidly increased in value, reaching a peak of $23.03 according to the latest trading data.
DexScreener currently estimates a market capitalization of $4.28 billion, although this figure only takes into account the 200 million tokens currently in circulation, the total supply will reach 1 billion tokens. 80% of them are locked and will be gradually released over three years.
