Russia launched 322 drones at Ukraine overnight on July 5, with the main direction of the attack targeting Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

The occupiers launched 322 strike drones and decoy UAVs from six directions — Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo.

The attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and drone systems, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 292 drones during the massive Russian attack overnight on July 5: 157 were shot down and 135 were either lost from radar or suppressed by electronic warfare.

The main direction of the strike was the Khmelnytskyi region, specifically the city of Starokostiantyniv.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, impacts were recorded at four locations, while debris from downed drones fell in six different areas.

The Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration clarified that 42 drones were downed during the night and morning attacks.

"Locations of falling debris are being identified. No reports of damage, injuries or fatalities have been received," said Serhii Tiurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi regional administration.

As a reminder, Russian forces also launched a massive drone strike on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region that same night. The number of injured has risen to 11, including two children.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, enemy drones hit several targets, including residential buildings, a post office, and inactive facilities.
