The first full trailer for the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially debuted worldwide. After a wave of fan leaks and short clips, the complete video appeared this morning symbolically at sunrise in New York, the hero’s hometown, according to the Spider-Man YouTube channel.

Familiar heroes return and Marvel universe expands

In the trailer, Sony Pictures emphasizes familiar faces and the continuity of the story.

Viewers see Zendaya again as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned, along with an emotional shot of Aunt May’s gravestone.

Meanwhile, the story reminds viewers that the world still does not know Peter Parker’s identity.

The clip also features characters from the wider Marvel universe, including Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, who now appears to be teaching at a university; the Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal; and Scorpion, once again portrayed by Michael Mando.

Additionally, the trailer shows the Hand organization, familiar to fans of The Defenders, as well as characters from Daredevil.

Film director Destin Daniel Cretton previously stated that the movie will represent a tonal shift for the franchise.

"Across the Brand New Day is a different kind of Spider film and a tonal shift compared to what we’ve seen before," said Destin Daniel Cretton.

So far, the first trailer emphasizes familiar elements more than radical changes.

Mysterious heroine Sadie Sink and a new evolution for Peter Parker

One of the main intrigues is the heroine played by Sadie Sink. In the clip, she is shown only partially, wearing a long coat and seen from behind.

There are hints of mind-control abilities, which could make her either a villain or a potential ally.

"We are facing a danger we cannot control, one we cannot even see," says a character in the trailer.

The film also hints at physical changes in Peter Parker: the hero’s eyes turn black, and something resembling a cocoon appears, possibly signaling a new stage in his evolution.

"Peter’s spider DNA is mutating," suggests Bruce Banner in the trailer.

Fans are actively speculating about the role Sadie Sink might play.

One of the most popular theories is the appearance of Jean Grey, which could mark the first step toward introducing the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The studio’s official synopsis emphasizes a new stage in the hero’s story.

"After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man," Sony’s description reads.

The events take place four years after the previous film. Peter now lives alone, having erased himself from the lives of those close to him, fully dedicating himself to fighting crime.

The film’s release in Ukraine is scheduled for July 30, and it is expected to launch a new trilogy.

"I hope we get to do this many more times," said Tom Holland after filming wrapped.
