Southern front update: Ukrainian forces reorganize in Zaporizhzhia region

Fierce fighting continues in the Zaporizhzhia region and the south of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy is not reducing the intensity of assault actions, heavy artillery shelling, or fire strikes, according to the Southern Defense Forces.
In particular, almost four dozen combat engagements were recorded yesterday in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions.
According to the data, more than 350 attacks using more than 1,500 munitions were recorded there over the past day. Enemy losses amounted to nearly 300 personnel and 58 pieces of military equipment, including a tank, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and light motor equipment.

Due to the regrouping of battle formations, changes in the configuration of the line of contact, and in order to preserve the lives of servicemembers, our units were withdrawn from the settlement of Novovasylivske to positions that are more advantageous for defense.
"Measures to block the enemy’s advance and inflict combined fire damage on it are ongoing," the military reported.
Situation in the Zaporizhzhia region
Intensive fighting continues in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Ukrainian units were forced to withdraw from their positions in the area of Rivnopillia and near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Myslyvske, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi earlier reported that during their offensive, Russians managed to seize three settlements, and heavy fighting continues for two more villages.
