Activity on the peninsula

At the same time, subscribers of the Crimean Wind channel reported other unusual activity across the peninsula.

At 1:55 p.m., a Be-12 amphibious aircraft reportedly took off from the Kacha airfield, flew over the sea, and headed toward Sevastopol. In the area near the village of Andriivka outside Sevastopol, residents also reported hearing short bursts of gunfire, allegedly from a machine gun.

Earlier, Ukrainian drones struck Russian Su-57 and Su-34 fighter jets at the Shagol airbase in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region, about 1,700 kilometers from the border.

Follow-up reconnaissance reportedly confirmed the destruction of at least four aircraft.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories during May 3 and overnight into May 4.

Among the reported targets were drone storage facilities in Donetsk and Kamianka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as a field artillery ammunition depot in the Luhansk region.
