Small number of North Korean soldiers are already in Ukraine
A small number of North Korean soldiers have been spotted in Ukraine, and their numbers may increase, according to CNN.
The agency claims that information regarding the presence of North Korean soldiers in Ukraine was revealed by two unnamed representatives of Western intelligence.
They expect that the number of North Korean military personnel in Ukraine could grow as their training in eastern Russia comes to an end.
In turn, an American official told reporters that the U.S. cannot yet confirm reports of North Korean troops already being present in Ukraine.
Another source from CNN believes that the overall number of North Korean troops in Russia could rise.
DPRK soldiers in Russia
There has been no official information regarding the transfer of North Korean soldiers to Ukraine.
However, RBC-Ukraine reported back on October 5 that six North Korean officers were killed as a result of an attack by Ukrainian defenders near Donetsk.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense noted last week that North Korean soldiers had been redeployed to the Kursk direction.
The New York Times, citing a Ukrainian soldier, stated that Ukraine expects a joint offensive by Russian and North Korean forces in the Kursk region shortly.
