Russian servicemen in the Pokrovsk direction are deliberately inflicting injuries on themselves in an attempt to avoid taking part in assaults due to the actions of incompetent command, according to the ATESH partisan movement.
According to their data, a sharp influx of wounded soldiers from the 1441st Motorized Rifle Regiment has been recorded at a military hospital in Donetsk. Agents note that the nature of the injuries is atypical, and the soldiers themselves admit that some of the injuries were self-inflicted.
The Russian military servicemen say they are regularly sent to assault Ukrainian positions without proper training, fortifications, equipment, or logistical support. Commanders reportedly give orders to "take the position at any cost," while threats of punishment, loss of pay, or confinement are used in response to refusal or hesitation.
Under such conditions, some fighters attempt to deliberately incapacitate themselves in hopes of being hospitalized and avoiding offensive operations. At the same time, according to ATESH, not all succeed: after treatment, some servicemen are sent back to the front line and thrown into combat again.
The movement says that certain units of the Russian army are experiencing a deep moral and command crisis. Soldiers are willing to harm themselves to avoid carrying out orders, which leads to a decline in combat effectiveness, growing hatred toward the leadership, and intensified internal conflicts within units.
The 7th Air Assault Corps reported that Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to carry out missions to contain the enemy in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Ukrainian troops are also conducting air-cover operations to protect ground logistics routes on the approaches to the city.
Thanks to coordinated actions by the defenders, nearly 100% of enemy aerial targets attempting to approach these routes are being destroyed.
