The iconic cartoon "The Simpsons" is returning to theaters. 20th Century Studios has officially announced the release of a second full-length film, which will be a sequel to the 2007 box-office hit, according to the studio's official account.

The new, as-yet-untitled Simpsons movie is scheduled for release on July 23, 2027.
