Ukrainian actress joins Harry Potter series: See her role and look

The Harry Potter series has finally revealed its full cast of actors. It turns out that one of the roles went to a Ukrainian, reports Redanian Intelligence.

Svitlana will play the professor of arithmancy at Hogwarts. The Ukrainian actress has been cast as Septima Vector.
"Septima Vector was a witch and Professor of Arithmancy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who taught numerology. Professor Vector was known among students as a 'really strict' teacher, so much so that some pupils were unsure whether to take her classes. Her subject was Hermione Granger's favourite subject while she was in school," reads the character's description on the Harry Potter fandom.

Karabut is a British-Ukrainian actress. She has appeared in the films "No Time to Die," "Solo: A Star Wars Story," "The Reddle Family," and "Slayers." She can also be seen in an episode of the series "Brave New World."

About Harry Potter series
In April 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery officially announced the reboot of the Harry Potter universe in the format of a multi-season series. The project is being developed for the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max) and is set to become the most complete TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling's seven books.
The first season is planned to be filmed by May 2026. After that, the actors will have a short break, and filming for the second season will begin immediately. The premiere of the first season is expected in 2027.
