In Iran, members of a separatist group opened fire at a police station, resulting in at least 11 people killed, with several others wounded, according to The Independent.

According to Ali Reza Marhemati, the deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchistan province, 11 police officers lost their lives in a terrorist attack on the police headquarters in the city of Rask, and others sustained injuries.

He mentioned that several gunmen were killed during the shootout.

The attack occurred around 2 am local time on Friday in the city of Rask, located nearly 1.4 km from Tehran. It is noted that among the casualties were senior police officers and soldiers.

According to state television, the separatist group responsible for the attack is Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice).

This group also claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing on a bus in 2019, where 27 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard lost their lives.
