Shelling of Sumy: Russian army hit civilian areas
Due to today's shelling by Russian occupiers in Sumy, two people were injured in the city, according to the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
According to Kobzar, it is known that two people were injured in Sumy.
"A woman was injured by glass, and a man suffered a concussion. Both individuals were hospitalized," he explained.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that today, at 2:55 p.m., the Russian troops carried out an air strike on civilian infrastructure and residential areas in the city of Sumy.
"As a result of the strike, three people were injured," the Regional Military Administration stated.
Additionally, the strike caused:
- partial destruction of the roof of a non-residential building, resulting in a roof fire;
- damage to 2 non-residential administrative buildings;
- and 73 windows were damaged in three residential buildings.
Earlier, we reported that today around 3:00 p.m., explosions were heard in Sumy. Prior to this, an air raid alert was declared in the region due to the launching of guided aviation bombs.
In addition, RBC-Ukraine reported that on the night of April 12, Russian terrorists attacked Ukrainian territory:
- with 17 Shahed-type combat drones launched from Cape Chauda;
- with a guided aviation missile Kh-59 from the airspace of the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.
During the defense, aviation and mobile fire groups were deployed. In total, 16 combat UAVs were successfully shot down within:
- Mykolaiv;
- Odesa;
- Kherson regions, and other areas.
