Shelling of Odesa: 8 dead and over 30 wounded reported
The casualties from the mass attack on Odesa on Friday, March 15, have drastically risen. Currently, there are confirmed reports of eight dead and over 30 wounded, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, on March 15 around 11:00 AM, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a missile attack on Odesa.
"Currently, we know about 8 fatalities, including an Emergency Service employee and a paramedic," the Office of the Prosecutor General said.
As noted by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, there are currently over 30 injured individuals.
"The driver of the ambulance crew is critically injured. Medics are fighting for his life," the department added.
Shelling of Odesa
Russian troops launched a massive missile strike on Odesa closer to noon on March 15, causing explosions in the city. Air forces had warned of missile launches toward Odesa.
It later became known that the occupiers targeted rescuers and medics who arrived at the scene after the initial series of explosions. Later, it was revealed that 20 people were injured, five of whom were Emergency Service workers. One of them was killed.
