Shaheds and S-300 missiles: Armed Forces of Ukraine told about night attack

"On the night of December 20, 2023, the enemy attacked with Shahed UAVs from the occupied Crimea (launch areas - Chauda, Balaklava). In total, 19 Shaheds were launched, 18 of which were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine," the Air Force said in a statement.

It is noted that the air defense system operated within Odesa, Kherson, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad regions.

In addition, the enemy launched two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation at Kharkiv region. No casualties were reported.

Russian night attack on December 20

On the night of December 19-20, Russian troops launched several groups of Shaheds into Ukraine from two directions - north and south. The threat of enemy kamikaze drones was warned of in the central, northern, and southern regions.

It was reported that air defense forces were operating in the Kyiv region, and all attack drones were destroyed during the attack on the capital.

Also, after a while, the enemy attacked Kharkiv, at least two hits were recorded near residential buildings in one of the city's districts.

In addition, several explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi in the morning. An air raid alert was announced a few minutes later.
