Shahed drones hit Poltava: Two dead, eleven injured in recruitment center strike

Explosions in Poltava were heard after 8:40 a.m. local time, following a report from the Air Force about drones moving toward the city.
The Poltava City Council stated that the city and community were under a massive attack by enemy drones. Operational headquarters were immediately deployed in Poltava, and specialized services were involved to eliminate the consequences.
Videos showing heavy smoke after the Russian attack were posted online, with reports of hits.
Strike on TCR
The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the building of the Poltava Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support (TCR). A fire broke out there.
In addition, due to another strike near the Poltava Regional TCR, a fire broke out on the territory of the private house.
"Unfortunately, there are killed and injured, including civilians. Emergency services are working on-site," the Ground Forces' statement said.
According to local authorities and the State Emergency Service, fires broke out in the Poltava community due to the drone attack. One fire was extinguished as of 11:00 a.m. Civilian infrastructure was damaged - public transport stops, residential buildings, shops, and vehicles.
Casualties
Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, reported that the Russian attack took two lives. Eleven people were injured.
According to the State Emergency Service, ten victims were wounded in Poltava. Rescuers saved ten more people.
Vitalii Sarantsev, Spokesperson for Ukraine's Ground Forces command, reported that among the injured are two military personnel from the TCR and two Armed Forces soldiers.
"Among the military, two are injured and two are Armed Forces employees. Whether there are military fatalities will be reported later. There is a threat of repeated strikes," Sarantsev said in a comment to the Suspilne news agency.
Strike on TCR in Kryvyi Rih
This week, on June 30, Russia struck with drones near the building of one of the district Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support in Kryvyi Rih.
The Ground Forces noted that servicemen and civilian employees of the institution were not receiving citizens but were in shelter during the air raid alert.
However, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified, civilians near the site of the Russian attack were injured.
