Shahed drone strikes residential building in Kyiv
In the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, an explosion was heard today, October 25. A fire was reported in one of the buildings, according to the Telegram channels of the Kyiv City Military Administration and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"In the Solomianskyi district of the capital, an explosion occurred. Preliminary reports indicate that an enemy drone hit a residential building. Emergency services are heading to the scene. Details will follow," said Klitschko.
At the same time, the Kyiv City Military Administration explained that as a result of the Russian drone attack on Kyiv, a fire broke out in a separate apartment of a multi-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district.
"In the high-rise building struck by the enemy drone, the upper floors are on fire. Emergency services are on site," Klitschko noted.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that according to preliminary information, several apartments on the upper floors of the building in the Solomianskyi district were damaged,
"There is a fire in the building in the Solomianskyi district hit by the enemy drone. Apartments on the 17th, 18th, and 19th floors are damaged. All emergency services are on site," the mayor reported.
Drone attack on Kyiv
This evening, Russian military forces carried out another attack on Ukraine. Part of the Shahed drones was flying towards Kyiv.
Shortly before the explosion in the city, Kyiv residents received alerts from the Air Forces warning that drones were flying from the Kyiv region towards Kyiv.
An air raid alert was declared in several regions.
