Shahed drone attack - Regional Military Administration explains series of explosions in Poltava

Russian forces attacked the Poltava region with strike drones this night. Even though many of Russia's aerial targets were shot down in the region thanks to air defense, there were also hits, according to the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut.
The official wrote in his channel that Russians once again attacked the Poltava region.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the air defense of eastern Ukraine “is shooting down a significant number of Russian aerial threats.”
“The explosions heard by Poltava residents were the result of drones being shot down, the detonation of drone fragments on the ground after falling, and, unfortunately, strikes on civilian infrastructure and enterprises,” Kohut’s message reads.
He also stated that there is currently no information about casualties.
“Air raid alert is ongoing! Stay in shelters until it is lifted! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones,” added the regional governor.
Drone strike on Poltava and region
As previously reported, several explosions were heard late in the evening during a Russian strike involving attack drones.
There were also reports of power outages in parts of Poltava following the explosions.
The Air Force reported the movement of a significant number of Shahed kamikaze drones toward Poltava and the surrounding district.
Later, the head of the regional administration said, “There are reports of hits on enterprises and open areas near civilian sites in the Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Poltava.”
