On the night of Tuesday, May 27, Russians once again attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and the Air Raid Alert Map of Ukraine.

According to the military, at 00:30 AM Kyiv time, Russian drones were moving:

  • a group in the east of the Kharkiv region heading west;

  • a group in the north of the Kharkiv region heading south;

  • a new group in the east of the Donetsk region heading toward the Kharkiv region;

  • at the border of the Poltava and Kharkiv regions heading west.

As of 01:03 AM Kyiv time, Russian drones were on the move:

  • a new group in the east of the Sumy region heading north;

  • in the Kharkiv region heading south;

  • in the east of the Dnipropetrovsk region heading southwest.

A series of explosions occurred in Sumy between 00:50 and 01:00 AM Kyiv time.

As of 01:58 AM Kyiv time, Russian drones were moving:

  • in the south of the Sumy region, heading toward Poltava and Kharkiv regions;

  • along the Poltava–Kharkiv border, heading southeast;

  • a group in the south of the Kharkiv region, heading north;

  • a group in the east of the Dnipropetrovsk region, heading southwest;

  • a group in the south of the Mykolaiv region, heading southwest;

  • a group over the Black Sea, heading toward the Odesa region.

As of 02:57 AM Kyiv time, Russian UAVs were moving:

  • in the south of the Poltava region, heading south;

  • in the south of the Kharkiv region, heading south.

At 04:03 AM Kyiv time, the military reported drone movement in the east of the Dnipropetrovsk region, heading east.

At 07:32 AM Kyiv time, the Air Forces declared the all-clear for the threat of strike drones for all regions.

Russian air attacks

On the night of Monday, May 26, Russian forces once again launched air attacks on Ukraine.

Russia heavily struck the country with cruise missiles from Tu-95MS bombers and fired over 300 Shahed strike drones.
