On the morning of September 20, loud explosions were heard in Dnipro as Russian forces attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles, according to Suspilne News and Ukraine’s Air Force.

"At 06:03 AM Kyiv time, correspondents from Suspilne reported hearing explosions in Dnipro," the message read.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Air Force warned of cruise missile threats across almost the entire country. At 06:00 AM Kyiv time, missiles tracked over the Dnipropetrovsk region were moving toward Dnipro.

Following the blasts, several local channels reported heavy smoke in the city along with disruptions to electricity and water supplies. No official comments on the consequences have been issued yet.

As of 06:28 AM Kyiv time, a nationwide air alert remained in effect across all regions of Ukraine except Kherson.

This was not the first attack on Dnipro that night. Earlier, Russian forces repeatedly attempted to strike both the regional center and Pavlohrad with drones. Series of explosions were reported in both cities.

So far, no official information has been released on the consequences.
