Sumy once again came under fire as loud explosions rocked the city on the morning of July 11. The aerial threat persists, and the situation remains tense, according to Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov.

In the early hours of July 11, residents of Sumy reported a series of explosions. The incident occurred around 5:00 AM Kyiv time, while an air raid alert had already been in effect in the region for several hours.

According to local media, there were multiple explosions, though their nature and exact location have not yet been officially confirmed. There is also no information at this time regarding possible damage or casualties.

The air raid alert in the Sumy region was issued at 1:45 AM Kyiv time. At that time, the Ukrainian Air Force reported strike drone activity across Ukraine, including in the Sumy region. Additionally, Russian tactical aviation activity was recorded in the northeastern direction, posing a heightened threat of further strikes.

The night before, on July 10, there were reports of guided aerial bombs (KABs) being launched at the region, further increasing the danger to civilians.

Local authorities and the military have not yet issued official comments on the situation. Residents are being urged to follow official updates and not to ignore air raid sirens.

Details about the morning explosions in Sumy are still being clarified. The situation remains tense, and authorities continue to call on the public to stay in shelters during alerts.
