The current security situation is the most serious since World War II. One of the reasons for this is the behavior of the Russian Federation, states Michal Koudelka, the head of the Czech Security Information Service.

"What Russian soldiers are doing in Ukraine or Palestinian terrorists in Israel, they would do here without any mercy," he says.

According to him, one must be prepared for the current risks.

Koudelka has stated that it would be a mistake to consider wars in Ukraine or Israel as something that concerns the Czech population only slightly or not at all.

"The aggressive Russian Federation poses a great threat to democratic countries in Europe, including Czechia," he says.

NATO is preparing for escalation

Earlier, Bild published a scenario of military exercises in Germany, during which the German armed forces are preparing for a hybrid attack by Russia on the eastern flank of NATO.

In particular, NATO Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer stated that the alliance requires transformation, and the West must prepare for an era where anything can happen at any time, including the start of war.

French President Emmanuel Macron also warned about the risk of an attack by Russia in the coming years. According to him, European leaders must prepare for such a scenario.

Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that Russia may soon restore its military potential and attack NATO countries as early as 2026.
