Security Service of Ukraine releases exclusive footage from first stage of 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner exchange

On Friday, May 23, the first stage of a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia took place in the 1,000 for 1,000 format. The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) released exclusive footage of the return of 390 Ukrainians.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) noted that today's exchange is the result of the work of the Joint Center for Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, and other authorized bodies that carried out the assignment of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Prisoner exchange
Today, May 23, Ukraine and Russia began a prisoner exchange in the 1,000 for 1,000 format. It will take place in three stages over the course of three days.
Today, 270 defenders and 120 civilians held by Russia were returned to Ukraine.
The next stages of the large-scale prisoner exchange are scheduled for Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25.
