The Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved significant success in the Black Sea region in targeting the military ships of the invaders. Russia's losses in the fleet have already reached 20%, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.

According to the official, very significant and important events took place in the Black Sea.

"In this situation, 20% of the Russian Federation's fleet in the Black Sea is already gone. Moreover, these are not some small boats with 5-30 people. These are huge military ships that we sent there, where the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet Moskva was sent on April 13, 2022," noted Danilov.

In this context, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council spoke about the destruction of the large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Novocherkassk, in the bay of the temporarily occupied Feodosia on the night of December 26. He emphasized that the operation was a vivid confirmation that our military understands the issue of Crimea.

"And for us, it is extremely important, as are the rest of our territories," emphasized Danilov.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized that Ukraine does not intend to give up its lands currently occupied by Russian invaders. This is explicitly stated in the Constitution, which clearly defines the territories of our country.

"They are recognized by the whole world. And I don't know any politicians who would think that we cannot adhere to the Constitution of our country," he concluded.

Destruction of the landing ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia

On the night of December 26, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the large landing ship Novocherkassk in the temporarily occupied Feodosia in Crimea.

According to the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleksyuk, the enemy's landing ship was hit by cruise missiles.

On Tuesday evening, the first satellite images also appeared after the Ukrainian strike on the bay of Feodosia. The images from the Planet.com service show that, in addition to the large landing ship Novocherkassk, another vessel partially sank. According to the media, this concerns the old training ship of the Russian occupiers, the UTS-150.

As noted by Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the loss of the Russian landing ship Novocherkassk and other vessels of this type has halved the invaders' ability to conduct amphibious landings.

RBC-Ukraine has compiled all the information about the destruction of the Russian ship in this material.
