Rescue operations continue in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district after Russia's attack. Up to 10 people may still be trapped under the rubble, the news agency Radio Svoboda reports, citing the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

Ukrainian Minister noted that a missile struck the Sviatoshynskyi district. Missile fragments were recovered and sent for examination.

According to Klymenko, the death of eight people has been confirmed so far. The ninth victim consists of body remains sent for forensic examination. The minister added that two children from the same family may have died.

The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that there is preliminary information about around 10 people who may be under the rubble. This information still needs to be confirmed, and the search is ongoing.

"We don't know yet. For now, the number is up to 10 people," said Klymenko.

Massive Russian attack on Ukraine

On the night of April 24, the Russian army launched another massive strike on Ukraine. Russia fired 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and 145 drones. Air defense shot down 48 missiles and 64 UAVs, and another 68 decoy drones were lost locally.

Russia's main direction of attack that night was Kyiv. As of 11:20 a.m. local time, nine people have been confirmed dead in Kyiv, and over 70 have been injured.

There are also casualties in Kharkiv, as well as in the Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Khmelnytskyi regions, due to the Russian attack.
