Scientists reveal capsule in which they plan to send people into space as early as 2025
The American company Space Perspective plans to send people into space using advanced high-tech balloons. The company recently released images of the completed test capsule, Spaceship Neptune Excelsior.
They plan to start space journeys by 2025. The company has already sold about 1,750 tickets, each costing $125,000. They plan to sell another 4,000 tickets by the end of this year, according to Interesting Engineering.
How does the capsule look like for space flights
"The space capsule is like nothing the world has ever seen. We are on the cusp of a staggering shift – not only in the way we humans experience space but also in what we conjure in our minds when we think of the spaceship that gets us there. We are redefining the category and paving the way for accessible space travel for years to come," says Space Perspective's Technical Director, Taber MacCallum.
It is also noted that this is the largest space capsule ever created. It has a diameter of 4.9 meters, nearly twice the size of Virgin Galactic's Spaceship Two and Blue Origin's New Shepard, and about four times larger than SpaceX's Crew Dragon.
The capsule features large vertical windows for panoramic views and innovative window technology that protects from harmful sunlight and regulates the temperature inside. This spacious capsule is designed for the comfortable accommodation of eight astronauts along with the captain.

The capsule features a spacious interior and several amenities, including the world's first space lounge with Wi-Fi and a toilet.
Researchers will embark on a six-hour journey, enjoying luxurious seating and high-class amenities inside this space capsule.
This capsule will ascend using the SpaceBalloon at a speed of approximately 193 km/h.
"With no rockets or heavy g-forces, it's the most accessible way to travel to space and as easy as being on an airplane," the company says.
According to a recent announcement, the company has completed the development of its first SpaceBalloon, and its carrier ship, the Marine Spaceport Voyager, is in the final stages of preparation.
