Satellite images show Russia's new hangars, shelters, and air defense at Millerovo airbase

Russian soldiers have decided to reinforce the security of the Millerovo airbase in the Rostov region. New shelters and air defense systems have been spotted there, according to Radio Free Europe.
Satellite images show that Russia is installing new air defense systems and constructing hangars for aircraft at the base. New positions for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems, which were not present last October, have appeared on the base. In place of open aircraft parking areas, hangars have been built or are under construction.
In addition, satellite imagery recorded the construction of hangars at the Belbek air base in the occupied Crimea and at the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield in Krasnodar Krai.
Attack on the Millerovo airbase
On December 23, 2024, explosions were reported near the Millerovo airfield. Russia reported a drone attack.
Additionally, on January 5, 2025, an attack on the Millerovo airfield was also reported. At the time, it was reported that unknown drones had attacked a Russian airfield.
