NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that there is no peace agreement for Ukraine yet. He emphasized the need to define security guarantees from Europe, informs The Guardian.

"(There is no peace deal yet, but - ed.) we have to prepare for that moment and make sure that European countries are willing to help out with the security guarantees," Rutte said.

He noted that allies want to make sure that Russian President Vladimir Putin will no longer attempt to attack Ukraine. This, in turn, would mean that Europeans will actively operate in Ukraine to ensure the preservation of peace, stability, strength, and longevity.

As a reminder, today, in London, a summit of European leaders took place. The key topic of the meeting was Ukraine.

In particular, the agenda included discussions on strengthening Ukraine's position, both militarily and through economic pressure on Russia. Also on the table were the necessity for a long-term agreement to ensure peace in Ukraine and the next steps in developing security guarantees.
