Russian occupiers banned the movement of vehicles with Ukrainian license plates on temporarily occupied territories from January 1, 2024, according to the National Resistance Center.

The Russians continue the policy of forced passportization of the region, as having an RF passport is necessary to replace the license plate. The movement of vehicles in the temporarily occupied territories is only possible with a pass issued by the occupation administration.

All previously issued passes are practically valid until the end of the year, and from January 1, 2024, their issuance is also possible only with the presence of "red waste paper".

"We draw attention that the Russians can issue their papers and simulate support as much as they want, but this does not change the fact that they are occupiers and enemies for the majority of the local population. Therefore, every move they make is recorded," the statement said.

The forced passportization by the Russian Federation in the occupied territories of Ukraine

After Russia invaded Ukraine, the occupiers set several tasks for themselves in the temporarily occupied territories - the deportation of Ukrainians, including children, the theft of Ukrainian grain, and the forced passportization of the population.

From 2024, Russians plan to serve Ukrainians in hospitals in the temporarily occupied territories who do not have health insurance as foreigners. That is, Ukrainians will be deprived of the opportunity to receive medical services, except for emergency assistance.

Recently, the National Resistance Center reported that Russians continue the policy of forced passportization of the population in the occupied territories. Currently, locals with Ukrainian passports are facing mass layoffs.
