Russian military attacked residential buildings in Beryslav, located in the Kherson region. As a result of the shelling, a woman was killed, reports the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the shelling occurred at around 16:00.

One of the Russian shells struck near a residential building. At that time, a woman was on the balcony and sustained injuries from shrapnel that were incompatible with life.

It is noted that information about other casualties is being clarified.

The situation in the Kherson region

After the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, a part of the region has been under constant shelling by occupiers. Russians attack the civilian population with heavy weaponry, artillery, and aviation.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on the 13 of October, during the past day, terrorists carried out 117 shelling incidents on the region's territory. In total, 574 shells were fired from mortars, artillery, Grad rockets, tanks, anti-tank missile systems, aviation, and drones. In particular, 32 shells were directed at the administrative center.

The terrorists targeted:

  • residential neighborhoods in populated areas of the region;

  • a building of an educational institution, an enterprise, and the territory of an engineering structure in the Kherson district;

  • a library and an enterprise in Kherson.

As a result of the shelling, one person was killed, and five others were wounded.
