Russian forces struck an energy facility in Chernihiv region again on November 16, leaving parts of the Koriukivka district without power, according to Chernihivoblenergo.

"Unfortunately, we again have damage to an energy facility due to enemy shelling in Koriukivka district. Part of the district’s communities are without electricity," the statement reads.

Residents are urged to stay calm, maintain information silence, and follow safety measures.

Chernihivoblenergo noted that as soon as the security situation allows, energy workers will begin emergency repair and restoration work.

Earlier, on November 15, Russian forces attacked a critical energy facility in Nizhyn district, leaving a significant part of Chernihiv region without power.

Today, November 16, due to widespread Russian strikes on energy infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine, electricity consumption restrictions are in effect:

  • From 00:00 to 23:59 – hourly power outages according to schedules from the 1st to 3.5th queue;

  • During the day, power limitation schedules will also apply to industrial consumers.
