As of 20:00 on August 18, efforts to extinguish the fire at the FDKU Kavkaz Combine oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, Russia, which was attacked by Ukrainian kamikaze drones on the night of Sunday, were still ongoing. Three firefighting trains have been deployed, according to the regional governor Vasily Golubev.

"The firefighting efforts at the industrial facility in Proletarsk are ongoing. All necessary resources are being utilized, including three firefighting trains," the governor wrote.

He reported that his deputy is on site, coordinating the interaction of all services.

According to Golubev, a heightened readiness regime has been implemented in the Proletarsk district.

The official also assured that there is no threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings or neighboring facilities.

On the night of August 18, the FDKU Kavkaz Combine oil depot located in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, was struck. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, this operation was carried out by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
