Situation in the Kharkiv region
Russian occupants seized the border areas of the Kharkiv region in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. In the fall of 2022, the Ukrainian military liberated almost the entire territory of the Kharkiv region.
After the de-occupation, Russians have been shelling the Kharkiv region on a daily basis. The Kupiansk district is particularly affected. In addition, the media reports that the occupiers are allegedly preparing an offensive on Kupiansk, but the authorities deny this.
