Russians shell residential area in Mykolaiv, one dead and several injured
Today, on July 19, Russians shelled a residential area of Mykolaiv. There is information about one person killed and several injured, according to the Telegram channel of Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.
"Checking on it. Ambulances are on the way,” Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, wrote.
According to Sienkevych, there are currently reports of injured individuals as well as one fatality.
The shelling also damaged residential buildings.
An air raid alert was declared in the Mykolaiv region at 4:51 p.m. and lasted until 5:20. Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned about the activity of enemy tactical aviation in the southeast direction and the threat of using aircraft weapons. Later, it became known that a missile was moving towards Mykolaiv region.
Number of dead and injured increased
According to Sienkevych, as of 6:11 p.m., it is known about three victims, including a child.
In a comment to NikVesti, Deputy Mayor Vitalii Lukov added that around 10 people are in the hospital.
Shelling in Mykolaiv region
Russian troops regularly shell Mykolaiv region. For instance, on the night of July 9, Russian forces attacked an enterprise in the Bashtanka district with a missile, injuring employees.
Specifically, during the shelling on April 20, a woman was killed due to strikes in the village of Solonchaky. Additionally, two people, including a 14-year-old boy, were injured.
