Shelling in the Kharkiv region
At the onset of the full-scale war, Russian forces seized a portion of the Kharkiv region. However, in the autumn of 2022, Ukrainian military forces managed to liberate almost the entire region. Since then, the occupiers have regularly been shelling border towns, villages, as well as targeting the city of Kharkiv itself.
Just today, Russian military shelled the village of Kurylivka in the Kupiansk District of the Kharkiv region using BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the attack, a 70-year-old woman, who was in her own courtyard, sustained serious injuries. Medical professionals are currently fighting for her life.
Russians recently launched a massive mortar attack on the other border village of Tymofiivka, causing damage to a private residential building with a barrage of enemy shells. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
In another incident, a 7-year-old child was injured due to an explosion caused by an unidentified object in the Kharkiv region.
