Russian terrorists have struck civilian infrastructure in Odesa. The attack resulted in injuries, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration (RMA), Oleh Kiper.

"As a result of the Russian attack, civilian infrastructure in Odesa was hit. It is already known about injured individuals receiving medical care, with the number of casualties still being determined," Kiper wrote.

The head of the RMA added that efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing.

Meanwhile, patrol police crews are regulating traffic and ensuring the unobstructed passage of emergency vehicles.

Two injured reported

According to Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, it is currently known that two people have been injured.

Number of injured rises

As of 9:54 AM, the number of injured has risen to three:

  • A 19-year-old boy;
  • Two men aged 50 and 58.

"The wounded have been hospitalized. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance. The elimination of the consequences of the enemy's attack continues," added Kiper.

Russians attacked Odesa region with 2 Iskander-K missiles

As reported by the Air Force, terrorists launched a total of two cruise missiles at the Odesa region. The air defense managed to destroy one of them.

The Defense Forces South added that the missiles were likely Iskander-K.

Details of damage

According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, the impact caused damage to:

  • Warehouse facilities of a trading network;
  • Residential buildings and cars nearby.

Inspections are ongoing to establish the full extent of the damage and destruction.

Shelling of Odesa on June 24

Today, June 24, at around 8 AM, an explosion occurred in Odesa. Prior to this, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had reported a threat of ballistic weapons from the southern direction. Later, they reported two missiles moving toward Odesa and the Odesa region.
