Russians set up barrier detachments of Kadyrov's men in northern Kharkiv region
Russia moved Kadyrov's men to the north of the Kharkiv region. There, they formed barrier detachments to prevent other troops from fleeing the battlefield, reports Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops.
According to him, the Russians are using the tactic of setting up barrier detachments in the Kharkiv region. They were formed from the personnel of Akhmat units.
He clarified that this was done so that when regrouping troops, Kadyrov's men would restrain other soldiers who would try to escape.
Voloshyn said that barrier detachments were deployed in the border area.
The spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit reminded that Russians are transferring their soldiers to the Kharkiv region from the Kherson region to reinforce the units defeated by Ukrainian defenders.
Situation in Kharkiv region
Russian troops continue to fight in the north of the Kharkiv region. In particular, they control a smaller part of the city of Vovchansk.
As Voloshyn noted today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to advance in Vovchansk. They are inflicting losses on the enemy.
