Russians report drone attack on Voronezh, state of emergency declared
Residents of the Russian city of Voronezh are complaining about a "drone attack" on the night of January 16. Supposedly, debris from a supposedly downed drone damaged one of the multi-story buildings. The city has declared a state of emergency, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense and other Russian Telegram channels.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that Russian air defense forces supposedly destroyed five and intercepted three drones over Voronezh. Four more drones were reportedly intercepted over the Belgorod region.
Later, the governor of the Voronezh region, Aleksandr Gusev, said that debris from the downed drone hit an apartment in a residential building, with windows shattered in several other buildings.
The city's mayor, Vadim Kstenin, has already announced that a state of emergency has been imposed in Voronezh "for the expediency of decision-making."

Recently, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that a drone was supposedly shot down in the Saratov region, blaming Ukraine. The governor of the region clarified that the drone was destroyed over the territory of the Engels district. This area is home to the Engels airfield, where Russian strategic bombers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS used for strikes on Ukraine are based.
Later, Russian media claimed that there were two drones allegedly shot down and falling on the territory of the military airfield Engels 2.
According to RBC-Ukraine's sources in the intelligence agencies, Security and Defense Forces are responsible for monitoring drone flights there.
Russians also reported a new drone attack on the night of January 11, allegedly resulting in damage to a pumping station in Kaluga.
Yesterday, there were complaints about another drone attack on Belgorod. Allegedly, the Russian air defense shot it down on approach to the city.
