Russians push to advance near Toretsk, Ukraine identifies target

Russian occupiers are trying to build on their gains in the Toretsk direction and advance toward Yablunivka.
This was stated by the spokesperson of the Luhansk Joint Forces Operation, Dmytro Zaporozhets, during a telemarathon broadcast.
"The enemy is currently most active in the Toretsk direction. The average daily number of assault actions over the past week is approximately 15 to 16. Today, they are attempting to develop their success toward the settlement of Yablunivka with the aim of further advances toward Kostyantynivka," the Joint Forces spokesperson said.
According to him, the enemy spares no resources to advance and establish a foothold for an assault on Kostyantynivka. In particular, the Russians actively use motorcycles to quickly reach settlements. The enemy also employs FPV drones, fiber-optic drones, and KABs against the Defense Forces.
"The enemy has the capability to use KABs against these settlements, destroying any structures, especially civilian ones, and any potential shelters for the Defense Forces’ positions," Zaporozhets added.
Situation on the front
Recall that over the past day, June 7, more than 193 battles took place on the front. In the Toretsk direction, according to the General Staff, the occupiers launched 15 attacks near Toretsk and toward Dyliyivka and Yablunivka.
As The Telegraph reported, Kostyantynivka is the main target of the Russian offensive this summer. The city is a crucial logistics hub, making it an important objective for the occupiers.
