Russian resources are circulating a video in which it is claimed that a Ukrainian official from the Sumy region has fled to the Russian Federation and is alleging that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing provocations on the border, according to the "Pivnich" special operations group.

As allegedly stated by the Ukrainian official in the video, the "Kyiv regime has begun the emergency evacuation of people from border areas to clear a five-kilometer-wide strip and then bring in equipment for further provocations."

However, in reality, there is no forced evacuation in these regions. Since July of this year, there have been provisions made for the voluntary relocation of residents from border communities due to ongoing shelling from the Russian Federation.

The majority of those who have relocated are residents of the five-kilometer border zone.

"By disseminating such fakes, the enemy attempts to create an information fog ahead of possible future terrorist acts and also to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement noted.

Previously, Russian propaganda had circulated fake information claiming that the "Kyiv regime" planned to carry out a terrorist attack in Uman.

We also reported that Russian Telegram channels had published fake videos during that week, purportedly showing a prisoner exchange between the Ukrainian and Russian sides in a 94x95 format.
