Russian shelling of Odesa
Russians are attacking Odesa almost daily with Shahed drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles. The city and region still lack air defense systems such as Patriot or SAMP/T capable of shooting down ballistic targets.
Late in the evening of April 30, two powerful explosions occurred in Odesa. Monitoring channels reported that missiles were launched from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
On April 29, Russians fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a cluster munition at the city. As a result of the attack, the palace of students of the Odesa Law Academy, known locally as the Harry Potter Castle, was damaged and caught fire.
