Russia attacked Ukraine with 172 drones from five directions. Ukraine's air defense destroyed most of the enemy UAVs, according to the Ukrainian Air Force's Telegram channel.

In the night of March 29, Russian forces launched one of the largest drone attacks, sending 172 Shahed strike drones and imitation UAVs from Russia and occupied Crimea.

The attack came from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda. However, Ukraine's air defense acted preemptively: fighter jets, surface-to-air missile systems, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were deployed.

As of the morning of March 29, 94 enemy drones have been confirmed shot down in the north, east, and center of the country. An additional 69 imitation drones lost their orientation and failed to reach their targets, causing no damage.

It is also reported that over the past 24 hours, 183 combat engagements were recorded. The enemy launched one missile strike using five missiles, carried out 94 airstrikes, dropping 179 guided bombs, and made 5,899 shelling attempts, including 145 from multiple launch rocket systems. Additionally, there were 2,853 kamikaze drone strikes.

Furthermore, from March 28 to 29, the Russian army lost 1,740 soldiers, 64 artillery systems, and 23 tanks.
